Assistance for the People of Japan
The staff and members of EC Radio extend their deepest sympathies and prayers to the people of Japan who have suffered in the earthquakes and tsunami that have occurred over the past 24 hours. If you would like to help the ongoing relief efforts for the disasters of unprecedented proportions, here are a few initial ways that you can help:
Shelterbox: International organization that creates and distributes emergency survival kits and tents to victims of disaster zones. http://www.shelterbox.org/
Red Cross: Has not set up a page as of this posting specifically for the Japanese disaster, but should within a few hours so check back soon.
EC Radio will be working with other clubs and organizations to do what we can to help with the relief and clean-up efforts of this international tragedy, so check back at http://www.ecradio.org for updates on ways that you can help. If you are a student at Emmanuel College, please join the staff of EC Radio and other clubs and organizations Monday, March 21 at 7:00 PM in the upstairs of the Jean Yawkey Center for an informal discussion about ways that the student organizations of Emmanuel can help.
